Private Events and Birthday Parties
Whether it's a child's first birthday or a fiftieth birthday, the dynamic is the same: intimacy. In these settings, my work begins long before the guests arrive. I arrive on-site while the room is still empty, to photograph the details: the untouched cake, the handwritten place cards, the balloons still defying gravity. It's the details that tell the story of the care you've put into organizing your party.
The Philosophy of My Goal
During the event, I become a shadow. I look for the grandfather proudly gazing at his grandson, the childhood friend laughing until tears come, the moment of blowing out the candles where the warm light of the flame illuminates faces filled with hope. For the 18th birthday parties, I transform: I follow the rhythm of the music, using long exposure times to create trails of light that convey the movement and pure fun of the dance floor.
I don't like static poses, the ones that make people feel uncomfortable, as if they were standing before a firing squad rather than a party. My goal is that, when you look at my photos in ten years, you won't just remember how you were dressed, but you'll also be able to feel the scent of the flowers, the taste of the wine, and, above all, the emotion of that exact moment.
Corporate Events and Business Branding
Here the tone changes. A corporate event isn't just a meeting, it's a statement of a brand's identity. Whether it's the launch of a new product, a gala dinner, or a team building event in the woods, my job is to provide materials that are useful for marketing communications.
In this context, speed is everything. I often provide a "social preview" within a few hours of the event, because in the digital world, a post made the next day is already old.
Baptisms, Communions, Anniversaries
Ceremonies are the rites of passage in our lives. Here, my style becomes more delicate. I respect the silence and sacredness of the moment (especially in religious services), using equipment that allows me to shoot without distracting flashes and with silent shutters. My goal is discretion. I want the family to focus on the meaning of the day, not on my presence.
The shot itself is only 50% of the work. Once I return to the studio, the selection and post-production phase begins. I don't use automatic "Instagram-style" filters. Each photo is developed individually. I adjust the exposure, contrast, and, above all, color accuracy. I want people's skin to appear natural and the colors in the setting to be exactly the ones you've carefully chosen.
